A short setup that makes reminders feel local and useful from the start

Choose just enough to make the app feel personal now, while keeping the full setup easy to revisit later in settings.

1. Choose language and region

Keep display locale separate from culture packs so the app can feel local without forcing one tradition model.

Selected for now

English · Sweden

Good default

You can later add other culture packs without changing app language.

2. Set reminder timezone

Timezone stays explicit and independent from display language or travel plans.

Selected for now

Europe/Stockholm

Good default

This controls reminder timing and email phrasing for upcoming occasions.

3. Pick starter templates

Sweden-first defaults can be enabled, with the option to add other occasion packs later.

Selected for now

Birthday, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day

Good default

Templates stay editable after they are added, so the system never feels rigid.

4. Review reminder defaults

Start with 30, 14, and 3 days before, then refine later in settings.

Selected for now

30 days · 14 days · 3 days

Good default

Enough notice to act without turning reminders into noise.

Progress

The setup should feel finite, easy to skip, and easy to revisit once the user is inside the product.

Enough setup to make reminders feel local without slowing down first use.

  • • lowers the barrier to first value
  • • keeps localization and reminders visible from day one
  • • lets settings own long-term preference management
